Volunteer
We can go further with you.
Make a difference in the lives of our survivor residents.
We are in need of volunteer drivers and project/event volunteers.
Project and Event Volunteers
Project and Event Volunteers are utilized for specific projects or events within Worthwhile. Project and Event volunteer roles are perfect for small groups, businesses, or individuals who want to commit to volunteering just one or two days. We are so grateful for these individuals and groups who help us tackle big projects!

Thank you for your interest in donating your time, energy and skills to support the survivors we serve! We could not do what we do without the valuable contributions of our volunteers.
Volunteer hours allow us to keep overhead costs low so we can direct more funds into our survivor programs.
Speciality Activities
If you have a skill or trade you are interested in sharing with the residents at Thistle Hills, we would love to host you! We welcome anyone who would like to donate their time in either teaching specialty classes or providing services for free. For example, an esthetician who treats the residents to monthly skincare sessions that include skincare education! More examples: nutritionists, massage therapists, nail technicians/cosmetologists, chefs, etc.
Volunteer Drivers
We are seeking dedicated volunteers who can commit to long-term involvement and are passionate about providing transportation for safe house participants to everyday destinations. It's more than transportation — it’s a show of support that helps survivors rebuild their lives.
What does a volunteer driver do?
Drivers transport safe house participants to work, appointments, and everyday destinations. Volunteer drivers are reliable women who form long-term, trustworthy relationships with participants.
Each ride plays a part in helping survivors become independent. Even a routine drive to work, therapy or 12-step meetings can have a big impact on their progress. By driving, you truly help spark meaningful change.
What are the qualifications?
For participants’ safety and comfort, we only accept women as drivers. You need a valid license, insurance, and a reliable car — and most importantly, you want to walk alongside survivors in their journeys toward independence and freedom.
The position is practical and flexible. Thistle Hills will provide a monthly schedule and you pick the rides that fit your availability.
While we do our best to stick to a routine, participant schedules may change, so we appreciate adaptability and flexibility!
